What happens if our player numbers change on match day?

Children get ill, cars break down and siblings turn up. Future Fit is built to cope.

The format flexes

Three a side is the normal game, but England Football encourages adapting when attendance changes. A 2v2 or 3v2 game still gives children a good football experience, and squads from different clubs can be mixed for a round so everyone keeps playing.

Update your booking if you can

Match-day flexibility isn't a substitute for booking accurately. If you know in advance that your numbers have changed, update your booking — it keeps the pitches and the rotation right, and it frees any team space for a club on the waiting list. Online changes close shortly before the session; after that, message the hub.

If you arrive with more players

Extra children are usually absorbed into your existing teams for the morning. We can't always add a whole extra Future Fit team on the day, because pitches and the rotation are built around the confirmed bookings.

If you can't make it at all

Cancel as early as you can. The team spaces are released immediately and offered to clubs waiting for that Saturday, which matters far more than any inconvenience of cancelling.
