What is a Team Facilitator in Future Fit football?

The adult on the pitch who keeps the game safe and positive — and then gets out of the way.

Not a referee

Future Fit 3v3 has no match officials. Instead, an adult Team Facilitator supports each pitch. They restart play when it stops, keep things safe, encourage good behaviour and offer a little guidance where it helps. Everything else — decisions, problem solving, attacking, defending — belongs to the children.

How many does a club need?

At Grayshott we ask for one Team Facilitator per pitch in use. Because each pitch holds two teams, the number required is your Future Fit teams divided by two, rounded up.

Adding facilitators to your club account

Clubs add their facilitators once on their club profile — first name, last name, a telephone number and either an FA FAN number or a DBS number. When you book a Saturday you simply choose the right people from your own club's list. Those details are private: they are only ever visible to your own club's authorised users and the hub organiser, and they never appear in emails, alerts or on any public page.

Who can be a facilitator?

Any suitable adult from your club who your club is happy to put on a pitch with young players — usually a coach, an assistant or a team manager. Your club remains responsible for the safeguarding checks behind that decision.
